Cate Nease joined Roman & Gaynor in 2004. She has more than 30 years of experience as a paralegal covering many areas of practice and now specializes in personal injury, trucking accidents, brain injuries, and wrongful death. Her main duties are focused on cases that are in litigation and assisting the attorneys with jury trials. Cate attends seminars and legal education courses to maintain her status as a Florida Registered Paralegal. Roman & Gaynor values her experience, compassion, and attention to detail.
Carol-Lynn Roman is a native Floridian who has lived in Pinellas County her entire life. She graduated from Dunedin High School in 1991. She attended Stetson University in Deland on academic and service organization scholarships and graduated from The University of South Florida in 1995 with a degree in Mass Communications. She also received a minor degree in Political Science.
Carol-Lynn began working in the legal field as early as high school and continued in the field throughout her education. She utilized her education in gaining management positions in Bay Area law firms and has been the Firm Administrator of Roman & Gaynor since its inception. Carol-Lynn is also a Florida Registered Paralegal.
Carol-Lynn has extensive training and experience in litigation support and, in particular, the jury selection process. When she is not assisting in trial, Carol-Lynn handles all aspects of the firm management including marketing and client relations.
Carol-Lynn is a recent graduate of the prestigious Leadership Pinellas program. She was on the Board of Directors of the Homeless Emergency Project for three years and has held leadership roles with the foundations of Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital and Morton Plant Mease Hospital.
Carol-Lynn has 2 daughters and resides in Clearwater with her husband.
Laura Mouser provides assistance to our legal team at Roman & Gaynor. She has over a decade of experience as a legal assistant. She is a Florida Registered Paralegal and a member of The Florida Bar Animal Law Section. She has acquired degrees in Human Services and Legal Assisting and recently completed the University of Central Florida Accredited Claims Adjuster Designated Pre-Licensing Course.
Her legal work experience includes personal injury and real estate transactions. Her personal injury knowledge spans from the initial contact with the client through trial.
Laura is married to husband, Lou, for over 20 years and has a son and stepson.
While still attending Countryside High School in 2001, Lindsey began her career as a legal secretary in a Personal Injury firm. In 2006, she graduated from the University of Central Florida with her bachelor’s degree in English – Creative Writing. Afterward, she lived abroad in England, Australia, and New Zealand on working holiday programs, but now calls downtown St. Petersburg home.
Lindsey is responsible for guiding our new clients through the beginning stages of their cases. This firm values her compassion, attention to detail, and communication skills. She also contributes to editing the firm’s weekly blog involving changes in Florida laws and other current legal issues affecting our community.
